Stain Glass Vase

For this art lesson we were to make a stain glass vase out of tissue paper. We would spread the glue out onto the vase and then lay the tissue paper on the glue. Once the tissue paper was on the glue we then had to spread a layer of glue on top of the tissue paper. We had to do three layers of tissue paper so it was not transparent. I thought this was a really cute idea! It was fun and not to hard! It is a creative way for the children to decorate something for mothers day! :)

An extension activity would be for the students to learn about light in science and how the light transfers through different colors and how it works. The students would then be able to understand why the light changes color.
